Usenet Hierarchies is a description of the hierarchies of subjects for Usenet. It will help you select a newsgroup (or newsgroups, more likely) where you might find the answers you are looking for. UCalIrvine FAQFinder is a natural language FAQs search engine, at the U. of California, Irvine. Usenet FAQ's originated as a way to stop "newbies" from asking the same old questions. Now they have evolved into general purpose "how-to" or "all-about" manuals on virtually everything. Free Agent Newsreader lets you read and send newsgroup postings with "client-side" software (rather than just web-based). "Free Agent" which has some advantages over using Microsoft's Outlook Express as a newsreader. |
