Note: Remarq.com, a former provider of free web newsgroup access, has been acquired by a company which now charges $13.95/month for the same service. This apparenly leaves Google with the only free source of web-based newsgroup access.

This link is to a natural language FAQs search engine, at the U. of California, Irvine. Usenet FAQ's originated as a way to stop "newbies" from asking the same old questions. Now they have evolved into general purpose "how-to" or "all-about" manuals on virtually everything.
Free Agent Newsreader
If you want to read and send newsgroup postings with "client-side" software (rather than just web-based), at Forte Inc. you can download a free program called "Free Agent" which has some advantages over using Microsoft's Outlook Express as a newsreader.
