Jeff Quitney was born in a small town in south central Minnesota. After graduating from high school, he attended the University of Minnesota, and spent time employed by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration as a procurement officer. He has worked in a canning factory, at a stereo repair service, a hospital, been employed in agricultural pest control,
and even spent time delivering newspapers. For several years he earned his living producing industrial video, doing videography and editing, and particularly working on computer graphics and animation. This background, combined with an interest in information in general and some desktop publishing experience, led him to learn HTML and resulted in the production of the pages you are viewing, coded entirely in a non-WYSIWYG text editor. The site designer/author of the Quicksand Foundation, Jeff Quitney currently resides in Las Vegas, Nevada. |
